This interior reveals the poetic side of industrial materials, introduced into fashion retail to give form to an original project concept. The project objectives of TECTON Interiors for the Marella store on Corso XXII Marzo were to unite technical expertise and hands-on know-how in the interest of interior design and to complete the make-over in a flash, during the summer break to limit the impact on sales. Inspired by industrial design, rebars are the leitmotiv in the furnishings and free-standing structures, culminating in the theatrical stairwell built on-site, thus transforming a potentially disturbing visual interruption into an attraction and a display opportunity. Window dressings of pierced and stretched sheet metal filter the light while reclaimed cabinets were made over to suit new uses. The result is original and was made possible by the adaptability of TECTON Interiors.
